Stitch Fix #2

Since trying Stitch Fix back in the middle of winter, see here for the first fix
I had wanted to try it again, as even though my budget just didn't fit with keeping anything the first time....A and I had a blast spending time together doing a little photoshoot when the package arrived.

So we thought we would do it again. And this time I even ended up keeping two items as they were more my budget. I found this kind of funny as at first glance, I hated everything in the box. Then as I tried them on and had A help me with styling..(You guys, He is an incredible stylist and photographer...who would have known lol!)...well I discovered I actually really liked these items.

They were all easily paired with jeans for smart casual and could even be dressed up for nicer looking outfits when the occasion arises. So I ended up loving them! :)

I was going to post when the package arrived and ask for input however things have continued to be crazy, so I only just now got around to editing and posting these pictures.

So guess you'll have to guess instead....

Hint: Item #5 was a necklace which I only tried on once and just really wasn't something I liked at all. So sorry no cute pictures of the necklace.

Which two do you think I kept?? ;)

Much Love!

P.S. Click link below if you're ready to give Stitch Fix a try. It may end up being a ton of fun just taking pictures....just sayin' ;)

A Gift On a Monday.

Today was my day off this week.
I spent it running errands and cleaning our home. The usual.
While out running errands, I was looking around a new store I've never been too looking for some camping things for our upcoming trip this weekend.
(Prep may or may not have involved trying to put the tent up in the living room this afternoon haha!)

While looking in this new store, I came across the one book missing from my Karen Kingsbury collection, and it was at a clearance price.
I will admit that it floored me and felt like a gift from the Lord. Sounds silly but I just had a real sense of His love and that He cares about those little details.
Even in the middle of a busy season in life.
He cares about silly little things that we may be looking for. Things that we may desire.
Even a book.

Seeing God in the everyday.
Thanking Him for those little things in life.
Joy in the mundane.

How have you guys seen the Lord in the everyday lately?

Much Love!

British Family Celebrating the 4th. Say What?

Happy 4th July friends!
I will admit that I like this holiday as it is a wonderful reminder of thankfulness.
This year we have so much to be thankful for. It has been a rough year so far, lots of changes good and bad.
Lots of hurt, laughter and growth.
And this Independence Day, I am thankful I get to spend time with my entire immediate family.
In true Third Culture Kid style we are a British family celebrating time together on American Independence Day? Anyone else find that a little amusing?
But there are Americans in our family now (and the rest of us really aren't that patriotic lol), which will ever increase in number as the years go by I am sure.
So I am thankful to be spending time with family, thankful to be all together in the same country and thankful for the opportunity to live in this country.
(That alone was no small feat.)

Growing up, the country I lived in was always most like my home country.
So for today, I am happy to live here and Celebrate the birthday of the USA.
I am thankful for the ever-increasing number of memories which are being made here.

How are you celebrating friends?

Much Love!
L
