Stitch Fix #4

I apologize for the delay, these were from May as you probably guessed from how pale I look in the pictures. Yikes!

My hubby is definitely the sweetest, he takes pictures of me whenever that little box of joy arrives. And we have a blast doing it!
Never tried Stitch Fix before? You really should.
You pay a $20 styling fee per fix (box of 5 items), a personal stylist picks out what she thinks you will like based on things you tell them you like & any pinterest board links you give them. Your $20 can then be used towards keeping an item or you can send them all back (free shipping both ways).

I love it because I always end up trying on clothes that I would never normally pick up in the store and usually find that I fall in love with things I don't normally like.
Plus for me its been great to invest in a few more expensive items that I know I can dress up at a minutes notice.

Plus its a great excuse to spend time creatively with my hubby.

You should give it a try and tell me what you think.

Much Love!

Sarah's Choice By Rebecca St James.

Growing up, I listened to Rebecca St James' music all the time. I had her song Wait for Me as my ringtone on my phone & just looked up to her in so many ways. Her example of purity, surrendering her love story to the Lord and her own personal relationship with the Lord. I shared more thoughts on purity & waiting here. So of course, I wanted to read another book she had written, although wasn't too sure what to think since this was fiction and not non-fiction like all the others.

Meet Sarah Collins, a beautiful successful 20-something who is about to get a promotion at work that she has worked hard for. She finds herself hoping to replace a woman who is leaving on maternity leave at first, but probably not returning at all. Especially if corporate has anything to say about it.

Then Sarah discovers she herself is expecting. Then she begins to question everything; her boyfriends ability to stand by her and support a baby, whether she even wants him to be in the picture, her past and her issues with the Lord following the death of her father.  She finds herself with more choices than she knows how to answer all in a very short period of time.

An elderly lady leaves Sarah with a Christmas card as she exits from a family planning clinic promising her three visions to help her make her decision. Can she trust them? Is this all in her imagination? Could the God of the Universe really care about her unborn child?

I loved this very real, emotionally raw story. It read very easily and was difficult to put down once I got into the story. I found myself really connecting with Sarah and wishing I could love on her through her difficult time. It is a perfect story for anyone who's ever had a difficult decision to make. Appropriate for all ages as no detail given on the family planning clinic or events prior to her discovering the pregnancy.

Let me know what you thought if you have read it? Or have you seen the movie?

Much Love!

Very Belated Birthday Update.

Summer has once again been super busy for us. Family time and other community commitments tends to eat up most of our waking hours. Hopefully this Fall I will be able to claim some hours back for the purpose of writing again, as I do so deeply miss pondering and thinking through things enough to share with you all.  It has proven time and time again good for my own thinking as much research into scripture and prayer goes into the deeper posts.

But till then, I thought I would catch you up through something I love.
Photography.

These are back from my birthday in May, but hopefully they show the joy our community here has brought us and how thankful I was to be able to celebrate with them.

Life is definitely not where I thought it would be by the age I am. But there are so many things I am extremely thankful for.

All in His timing.

'And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.'

What I Love: White Plum.

I am beyond excited to be sharing this amazing website with you today! You know when you find something online you just absolutely love and you can't wait to tell all your friends about it. well, that's exactly how I feel about this today!

Let me introduce you to a company called White Plum. A gorgeous company set up with modest, super stylish, affordable clothes which are great quality! I'm in love with almost every single item on their site.

The tank pictures above is the Columbia Embroidered Tank which I am in love with! Its such a great end of summer tank for these long hot August days, which will probably continue into September knowing the Midwest and its love of humidity.  Plus its such an easy top to pair with a pair of jeans and instantly feel like you look cute enough to go somewhere and as though you didn't just throw on the first item in your closet. All the while knowing that you totally did!

Now head on over and let me know what your favorite item is!!!
