Influence Excitement

Countdown: 1 month & 1 day till Influence Conference

Well there are many reasons why I am looking forward to Influence.
I'm looking forward to the awesome sessions, seeing several of you lovely ladies in person
for the first time (anyone else find that weird, cause I totally feel I know you guys already?),
learning about how to blog with Christ at the center.
I feel a wonderful weekend of learning and sweet friendships on the horizon.

One of the reasons I'm so excited, is that I have awesome roomies lined up who I also happen

to be roadtripping to the conference with.

These three girls and I will be sharing a room.

So for sure, there will be many goofy moments awaiting us.

But just in case you wanted to see a project in the works
(I know we are so months behind when this was cool....but we don't live in the same place guys!!)

I also wanted to add that I have been so encouraged on my walk with the Lord by reading

all the blogs that I have been able to read.

Blogging has just helped me grow so much in my walk with God, in wrestling

with difficult issues and learning to share my walk with Him more openly.

I am so blessed by the wonderful friends I have made here in this community

So my throat healed enough to video for a late entry to the Girl Behind the Blog LinkUp.

Trust me I am no fashion expert or hair expert. 

So this is just my 2 cents to add on something I wish I was more into haha.

Totally agree with Julie from The Funny Thing of It Is about the bible being our best beauty resource if you will. True beauty really does come from the inside, from a heart totally in love with Jesus. 

In the words of Leslie Ludy:

The Girl Behind the Blog LinkUp

This may be my only vlog....I'm not a fan of myself on camera.

It took about 5 takes to get started....it was like giving a speech, something I am not good at =)

I ended up editing a bunch out.....
Sorry for the switch from the webcam to my camera, my webcam has been having serious issues with working!
I finally realised how much I say 'ummm' when talking out loud like that haha!

Halloween Candy.

So if any of you have kids or have been around kids during Halloween, you'll appreciate this video.

It's so mean really, but actually hilarious! 

I have come to really not like Halloween, I was never allowed to celebrate it when I was young either. My parents didn't agree with the glorification of evil aspect of the holiday, which is a little big to forget with all the 'cute-ness' which is thrown into the celebrating.

This past week I have caught five kids sneaking candy, so I'm a little frustrated at the amounts of candy handed out also.
